Is the den leaf that turned yellow an older leaf? How does the rest of it look?

Radha...First, throw the yellow leaf away, and do not panic! The plant looks like it's a good color of green, and all plants lose leaves ( they usually turn yellow first ) Now,please get a close up pic. of the black spots that you're talking about and post it so that we can get a good look at "what" is happening. Then we can better help you/the orchid. Thanks, Betty :-)
hi katie,
thanks for that i have added a closeup view of the cattelya and another dendro has the same yellow leaves.
Radha--
The catt spot looks to me like it is probably sunburn or physical damage, so I think it's probably fine.
The dendrobium--they all lose lower leaves from time to time, but since yours has already lost one, and now has 2 more turning yellow, you might check and see if the roots look healthy--I am wondering if it may have stayed too damp too long, and had some root damage. I had one like that this summer, and it turned out that the old bark it was in had broken down and was retaining too much water. I re-potted it in fresh media and it started looking better & putting out new growth soon after.
Good luck!
