Woo hoo Jane!
Those look just great--so exotic!
I can't wait till my little seedlings get blooming sized.
Very nicely mounted, too!

Gilda-It does get good light & if you notice that the spike on this shot above it is coming out of a newly formed growth. The leaf is just opened a little bit not like the other 'shrivelled growths that you see with wide open leaves'I water every day.I grow it hanging from the top tier over a bench.Maybe I should pad it on the bottom with sphagnum to help keep them plumper but I'm not sure if it needs to look desiccated to bloom.'Tis a puzzlement.

nicely done. I dont see the longissimum though, is it suppose to be a hybrid with collettii and longissimum?
I don't know Forrest.I thought that collettii was just another name for longissimumThe collettii was just in brackets after longissimum on the tag.
Aha Forrest, I just looked it up on Jay's site as collettii which said to look at wendlandianum. The pic there looks like mine .Now I'll have to check out longissimum & see what that is all about.
collettii is its own species, synonym wendlandianum.
check these out for comparison.
collettii
longissimum
very bizarre. two thumbs up.
Jane, it could be a hybrid as Forest said, the collettii doesn't have the long petals as your do.. so that may be where the longissimum comes into play.
Cheers
