Carl, Have you ever given your orchid roots a drench of cold coffee? Slugs can't handle the caffeine.

This was reported a few years ago ; the story came from Hawaii I think ;so for some time I saved the dregs from our morning coffee, and tried it out ;it didn't work.

if you need slug protection, don't rely on this.
