I got this in spike. It has taken forever to develope. The flowers finally came on a branch that it developed in my care. I have hopes that it will continue to produce more buds. Doesn't look very pink to me though.

looks like quite a petite pretty oncidium. very nice too
i find myself envious that you guys can buy these sorts from "box stores" as we can only get phals, zygos, and the occasional soft cane dendrobium phalaenopsis types and onc. flexuosum
I actually bought this one off of internet from a vendor in Wisconsin. I will eventually go to see his green house in person, but need to have a pocket full of cash when I do.

Well, Jonada, you could take the ferry across the pond and go to the orchid show in Grand Rapids the end of January.![]()
Jordan, at 5 bucks, who could resist!
Pavel, who knows, I may just try to do that.
I know that there is an orchid show in Madison (about an hour away) coming up end of Jan beginning of Feb that I really want to go to. My best friend and accomplice is hopefully going with me. She is the one that is harboring 22 catts for me.
Jordan, I think most people are afraid of orchids. The old misinformation about how difficult they are to care for is pretty ingrained. I went by an old friends house the other day and was admiring her plants. I told her I was into orchids and the first thing out of her mouth was "Oh, aren't they hard to grow".
yea i get that all the time. i divided some dend. red baron and sold it at the market, and the first thing i got every time was "oo, i might kill it, they are hard to grow." so i had to convince possible buyers that you just put it outside under a tree and leave it.
last month one of the buyers came back. "i killled it" was what i got. turns out they had put it outside, full sun, watered it every day, gave it TOMATO fertilizer because it had potash in it (not to mention all the nasty additives only good to tomatoes) so i told them they were boobs and had no idea of the simplicity of orchids.
saying that to them made me feel alot better![]()
