This NOID Cymbidium is my first ever rebloom on growth that occurred under my care. I bought it last year, repotted, sat it in full sun for summer, fall, and early winter, fed mostly with standard balanced plant food during the summer, then with a proprietary orchid bloom food in the fall, and left it outside until freeze was imminent. Then brought inside and inspected every day up close. My exhaled carbon dioxide stimulated it, I'm sure. The flower was browner with more lip coloration last year - I don't know if that's my care, or it hasn't fully matured. Either way is OK, I love the flower, and I'm excited and wanted to share with folks who know how it feels.
So that wasn't good enough, I had to buy another? That store put this there to tempt me, I'm sure. "Listen, store, I don't have room for any more, OK?" NOID, nice compact plant, and great flower color. When I got it home I discovered that it had an inch of water in the plastic-lined basket cache-pot, so who knows it that caused some rot. Will know when repotting.
Like a new baby, another photo. These flowers remind me of glazed porcelain.
