I got this for a really good price. I like the OS members sale table alot.
Reading about these, I wondered if I should trim it a bit and pot up some of the unruly pieces. Maybe after it (hopefully) blooms for me?

It is a beautiful orchid, Jason! Don't trim it; let it grow. What a show that will be when it blooms for you.

I just hope I can get it to bloom! I could not pass it up after I saw the price tag. This was being sold on a member table for less than vendors were selling a third of this plant for! I was tempted this morning to count the pseudobulbs, but decided against it. There are TONS of new ones starting out.

The Coconut Orchid ! I have seen a plant about the same size as yours in bloom it was spectacular. It was very pricey at a nursery here in Tampa. The smell was amazing. I hope this plants does rewards you with a bloom explosion. Have Fun,Rich

Very nice, Im with BD dont trim this baby.... I've had mine for about 2 years now and still nowhere as big as yours.

Thanks for giving my new baby so much attention! What I have read about the culture is that they prefer intermediate temps and almost cattleya light. Lots of water and decent humidity. That last one I am going to have to work on. I got this one for fifteen bucks. I thought it was a steal.

I treat mine like a terete vanda... full sun and lots of water and ferts... it flowered for me last year with only 2 blooms... this year im hoping for more...

Looks like a great buy at $15.00. Very healthy with plump pseudo bulbs and nice foliage. Impressive orchid. AL
