Default This little no name cattleya orchid ...

This little no name cattleya followed me home today. If anyone happens to know it's name, i'll make it a tag. Otherwise, it's going to get a made up name...when I repot it out of this plastic pot. It looks to be thriving in spite of the potting...spagnum and a plastic pot with small holes at the bottom. The second picture is with flash...I was suprised at the color difference in the lip with natural light and a flash.

Sometimes names do not matter if you like it, it does not matter. I like that one to so the name does not matter. It would be nice if someone could come up with a name but!!!

I'm going to need a greenhouse if I keep letting them follow me home. I think i'll name it "Sweet Leora"...after my mom.

The plant is compact, but not a miniature. The flower is about 2 1/2 or 3 inches across. There is a slight scent. It's quite the prolific grower...it has several new p-bulbs emerging.

That's a beautiful, beautiful little catt, Connie. I have few NOID mini catts myself. I find a lot of NOID mini catts offered by our vendors here - many of which are really attractive. I wonder what's with the breeders of these mini catts not putting names to their offerings!!! A major irk.
