Thank you for looking!
really great flower
Beautiful!!!
Well done, Duane!
It seems like many of them rebloom very frequently. Well-grown plants of Alaticaulia (formerly the Alaticaulia section of the genus Masdevallia) such as Alaticaulia amplexa can bloom all year round, and Reichantha calura is no slouch for reblooming, either. I wouldn't be surprised if your hybrid is in bloom most of the time once it gets mature.
Duane, mine just sits there and looks at me - this is the second bloom season with nothing...............I have it in a net pot and feed it weakly weekly with a 7-7-7 fertilizer. It is under flourescent light - has grown but is not cooperating with me. I hate it when orchids do not understand their duty......................
Bummer! I have no idea what I'm doing right. I killed one of these dead within a week of getting it. This one has been great all along. I'm growing it on the bright side - if I were to guess, a Masdevallia that is growing but not blooming probably wants a little more light. Give it a try - you've got nothing to lose!
