V Mimi Palmer is a normal size vanda. You are right; V Mimi Palmer has no hint of JvB or Tan Chay Yan or even semi/quarter-terete in the physical appearance of the plant, except that it is a bigger plant than tessellata. All the ones I have seen are slate coloured and even the crosses seem to carry this dominant colour. That is why I'm impressed with your second plant which seems to have broken away from this dominant colour. Btw I have 2 V Mimi Palmer x V Kultana Gold, gift plants from a friend. He has bloomed a few and wasn't immpressed with them.
