Aranda is a cross between Arachnis and Vanda. I seriously doubt that you could cross a Cattleya alliance plant with a Vanda alliance plant.
Thanks. I am also hearing, that monopodial species don't cross with sympodial ones. Bad luck for me. I will still give a try, but have no expectations.
Not possible. Unrelated genera.
Yes as Yew said, it is impossible. But sympodial, monopodial rule does not always hold true. Cattleyas can be crossed with Epidendrums which are sometimes monopodial.
