    Smile Paph. Deperle 'Pink'

    It's taken over 2 years since I bought the plant, but my Paph. Deperle is finally going to put on a show. :-) Three spikes, 6 buds in total. The first one has just opened and is a sizeable flower (9 cm across). Can't wait for the other buds to open!

    The name properly is Deperle - all one word. Its a hybrid between the successional and almost ever-blooming primulinum, and delanatii , which of course gives the pink colour. They will often give 4 flowers but never more than 2 good at any one time ( on one spike, that is). A nice orchid, one of my favourites.
