This pair flew into our yard yesterday evening while we were grilling. I haven't ever seen them so close and on the ground. They are so pretty and quite big. As I was taking the pics our resident big gator swam by.

i can see!!! ufff that gator can stay over there!! lol
I love the "Don't Feed The Gator", signs we have in our area. Like someone has tried feeding that mouth of teeth! Those birds are in the trees at the bird rescue. One almost sent me home for a hair washing the last trip. lol
Thanks for sharing your wildlife!!! Great pics and yes, you can keep the gator.
an Alligator!? Wow, the only one i have ever seen was in the auckland zoo!
Cool, all the wildlife at close proximity...
Cool shots, Cin! That gator must keep you attentive.
Cheers,

Not really Bruce, they stay down in the canal and I am in the yard. I do check before I go down to the banana clump, The little one 3' likes to sun down there. The BIG one 7'+ suns in the neighbor's yard.
Great pics, Cin! My husband has gotten hooked on that television show, "Swamp People," where they hunt the alligators. Will we see filming in your back yard? If so, I'll keep my eyes open for your orchids!
