Bulbophyllum species need ID

This Bulbophyllum come from Northern part of Malaysia the flower characters similar like B.biflorum however the color is different which is yellow with many spot on the petals.The other good aspect it's free flowering as compared to biflorum.Thanks in advance.

Hi Zainal,

Morphologically, I do not see any reason why your plant could not be Bulbophyllum (or Cirrhopetalum) biflorum. Colour is usually not a good species indicator, and flowering behaviour depends on geographic factors. While some might point out that the pseudobulbs are closely spaced whereas they are quite widely separated in typical biflorums, the fact is that Philippine plants also have clustered pseudobulbs.

Gorgeous plant, in any case. Do not dare show it to me or I will wrestle it away from you....

Wally I will take note your point, why I never think that...... maybe another variation of yellow biflorum , so far I saw most of them pink color including Borneo variety. Thank for your info.he.he.he.

I got both the yellow and the red varieties but sadly they have never bloomed at my house. Maybe the temp is too high. Love yours En. Zainal. Salam.

Salam En Mazlan why cant you change to the new location give extra morning light and spray with flowering fertilizer hoping soon the spike will appear, I think the temp more or less same like mine.Thanks

From pics that I saw of your house I would assume that your house is cooler than mine because it is surrounded by lots of trees. My house used to be surrounded by rubber trees but now only bricks of terrace houses. I myself could feel the difference in the temperature. Hopefully it will adapt to this new environment and bloom.
