I purchased an Od. "tiger crow" at a local hardware store. it has been growing on a cypress mount but had not put out any new growth. I placed it on a new mount, as the roots had not really taken hold, and within a week, it looks like a different plant. it has only two pseudobulbs, the oldest one was shriveled and hard on the original mount, and now it is fat and healthy looking, as is the younger one. I mist it every day with water with miracle grow orchid fertilizer. If anyone could tell me what could have caused this new growth?, OH, btw, there is a third shoot coming off now. does anyone have some species specific info for this particular orchid? and also, it says on the card that was with it that it should have medium light. does anyone know how big this thing needs to be to bloom? any info on this would be appreciated, as I love the colour on these flowers and would really like to get mine to bloom soon.
