Two spider orchids
Any scent? I had one similar to the first photo and it had a faint sweet floral smell to it.
Always love these. You know why they are called spider orchids? Because when the blooms dry up and fall on the floor and you walk into the room or greenhouse and see them, you think they are spiders. hahaha...
Beautiful orchids, Noi!
Cheers,

I love the spider orchids. Their flowers are conversation starters for certain. And so far I haven't jumped back at any of the dried flowers...although I can see why one would.
Love them and yours is lovely!!!
So beautiful... thanks for sharing.
Ive always known Spider Orchids as natives of ours; Anzybas, Corybas, Nematoceras and Acianthus.
Nematoceras sp
Acianthus sp
Corybas hispida (or more aptly named Helmet Orchid)
But i must congratulate you on yours! and that story sounds like my worse nightmare Bruce.....![]()
I have a couple 'Spider' orchids, but nothing as pretty as your first photo. I like that very much. AL
Love these! Great growing Noi!
Those are lovely, Noi - and more on the way? Yippee!!
