Suddenly Yellow leaves

This morning I noticed that two of a previously green and healthy phal's leaves had turned yellow. This had to have happened in the last 48 hours. I checked the roots- they are very healthy looking. Any ideas what th problem might be? I am having probelms with camera- but I will post pic soon. -Meg

If the leaves that turned yellow are at the bottom (ie the lowest leaves on the plant) then it may just be a normal "molting" that phals do. I ahven't ever had one lose both bottom leaves at once, but I suppose that is possible.

If, on the other hand, it is not the bottom leaves, well then you may have a problem. Post a pic -- that might help.

Check the tight spaces where the leaves meet the crown of the plant--there could be the beginning of crown rot (You'll notice a growing black area).

If there is no evidence of rot, then this is probably normal molting. Phals do that a LOT this time of year.
