No - no special treatment at all . Just my routine S/H which means ( nowadays ! ) that I take them out of the water when they are doing nothing - no spike, no new growth or developing growth - and put them back in when there is. I'll tray and remember to take a pic of my S/H set up - a lot of Oncid hybrid spikes at the moment ! but I'm just off to College for my chocolate cookery course , and tomorrow I'm off to the East of England Show ( Peterborough International Orchid Show - the biggest orchidfest in UK ) - so it could get overlooked unless someone reminds me when I'm back in front of the PC -Sunday evening or Monday next...

yes cut on an angle as close to bulb once bloom is gone. When you go to replant, put the bulb that shot the spike last the farthest from the side of the pot for the most room for growth. Enjoy!!She is a beauty

I've got that ( or at least I have two examples of the grex) in my collection - not all 34 if that really is the case... mine have charactreristically narrow tepals ( from the Brassia parent) whereas Cairns has rather broader ones.
