I'd only borrow them... I'll return them when I'm through with them...![]()
You all are crazy but very creative!!!
Catfan- Could you post a photo of the S-hooks with a plant growing on them? I would love to see it as I am really not a fan of baskets.

I have to be crazy to live where I do LOL don't know what the rest of these folks excuses are.
Shalene-
I posted some "orchids on a stick" (wire) here:
http://home.earthlink.net/~wisejt/
I drape some Spanish moss over the roots, and they seem to be doing fine. I've got mostly seedlings...cheaper that way...but they are starting to bloom for me. They allow more sun to get to the plants on the benches without the baskets, and they are very easy to maintain this way...no muss no fuss. I even trim the roots back when they get too long...
If you go to 'Greenhouse pics' at the bottom of the page...bottom photo, the vandas are hanging on the left side...You have a lot more room for more plants w/out baskets as well...

Wow that's neat how they grow on sticks like that. I just went to feed a friends cats and decided to wander around and see how things are prepared over there for the hurricane and she has one on a big stick called a palm tree... The roots are totally around the trunk and seem to be slightly embeded in it. Interesting looking will have to take picks of it if we survive...dennis is a coming.
