Miltonidium ??? 'Florence'

Just one flower from a tall branched spike of 50 or so flowers, on a plant I bought at the Peterborough Show , a couple of days ago. The dealer told me the name , and I asked him to write a label. he said he wouild, and I collected the plant, wrapped up , later. But when I unwrapped it - no label.
He said it is an Miltonidium , but of course could be all sorts of Oncidium intergenerics.. I can't remember what he told me the grex name is ; just one word I'm sure. And the cv name is Florence, that I'm sure of.
Quite middleish large flowers - up to well over 3 inches. Should be good if it likes my conditions.
These meristem plants are produced in lots of thousands, so its likely someone else has it - does anyone have a name ?

BTW I am just preparing a batch of pics of the show, Which I'll post in a day or so -watch that space.

Wow - that is a very bright bloom! Love the contrast. I bet that spike full of50 or more of these blooms is amazing!

I remember now, he said it is Mtdm Breathless 'Florence ' - which is a registered name of a white Miltoniopis with a black mask ( which I would love to have in my collection) but there is no such miltonidium - may noit even be a Miltononidium at all - could be any Oncidium based intergeneric .

I am guessing it is an oncidium based intergeneric. It really doesn't seem to be a Miltononidium to me. That said, it could be renamed and moved.

Yes, I guess that the Breathless name was simply reading the wrong line on the list of plants, and is a great red herring.

maybe I'd better print a label "Onc. Red Herring" ( a poor joke ! )

Perhaps a poor joke...but even nameless it's beautiful and will look absolutely gorgeous on a side table somewhere. Even bad orchids are still good...when they look like this!
