The fault does not lies with the cross, the owner/hybrider should know what he want to achieve through this cross and hit a balance in the shape, form & color. DTE has good shape, form and intense color but speciosa got wild form and white base color in the flower which will reverse whatever good traits that passed down from the cross. The end result is a lighter color DTE but totally out of shape & form flower from this cross...

Just my 2 cents opinion.
