Vanda with droopy leaves

Why are my vanda's leaves looking so sad? It's outside with 90F + temps and high humidity, maybe not enough light or water? Roots look okay ... Most of my vandas are looking this way but this one has the droopiest leaves of all.

I water once a day, thoroughly soak the roots until they're all green. Maybe I should start soaking for longer period of time?

Cody, I have less humidity than you generally I am sure. I soak mine on average for 45 minutes to one hour each day. See if this doesn't help. For my Rhynchostylis I even drape moss (heavily, but loosely) over the roots (only) in their baskets for added humidity and they love it. Good growing! AL

You don't say how much light they get or how much the plants are fed, so I may be jumping into a trap, bue here goes: the leaves look long and weak, as if they didn't receive enough light when developing. Also, where are the roots? A plant that size should have roots hanging a foot or more below the plant. Now I'll wait to hear why I'm wrong(LOL).

it looks to me that the plant is not getting enough light, how much light is it getting? and once a day watering for a vanda is not enough for me, I water my vanda 2x a day... you can also
try to pot it with course medium (charcoal, gravel.. etc), and see if it plumps back... I usually do this for my ailing Vandas. Good luck.

Cody, your plant looks pretty good and roots look good - but - the leaves are dark green so it probably needs more light. Also, I've read that orchids don't resprirate very well in higher temps, so their body functions slow down too. Living in the south as we do, I feel a little sluggish right now too LOL! I think you are watering enough. Air circulation is very important too with high temps and humidity. Good light is KEY for vandas. Good luck!
