Cattlianthe Edith Loomis is this hybrids name. Registered in 1956.
This coerulea variety shows clearly the influence of both parents.
Sepal shape is from C. walkeriana, petal shape and the shiny freckles are from Gur. bowringiana.
The lip is a mix and has traces from both species.
After all it is a beautiful flower with this lovely coerulea color.
On a well grown mature plant you will get more flowers on one inflorescence .
But keep in mind that most the time coerulea clones are more difficult to grow and for this reason they usually produce less flowers.
Don't worry about the immature growth. Only avoid accumulated water on the top of the grows.
But you will loose your plant if you don't take care of the scales or the mealybugs your plant has underneath the leafs.
Your plant has a nutrition deficit. The cell structure of your plant is weak. This attracts the little suckers.
