New orchids from the local Orchid society

As you can see I went nuts went over my budget oh well !! Just wondering what is this growth on the mini Phals ( in the second photo ) It is arising between two leaves? A spike , a root ?

Now i couldnt tell you for sure, but i think it may be a new spike!

I think it could be also the reason i doubted it is because it looks like a tip of a leaf ( pointed apical ) its hard to see from the pic , well guess i will wait and see

It is hard to tell from a tiny tip if it is a root or a spike starting. If the end is mitten-shaped it is a spike (root tips are more blunt). I can't tell from the pic, but from what you say, I am hoping you have a spike starting.
