Blasted bud blast!!!

Hey there. I recently purchased a Paphiopedilum Pinnocchio from a very reputable orchid grower. It was in bloom when I bought it (it's a sequential bloomer) and the first bloom has now died off. Another bud developed, but now is looking increasingly "droopier" every day. I'll admit that the temp of my house was not ideal when the orchid first came home, but I feel I have remidied that problem. Aside from that, I keep a fan near (not too near and not on all the time) my orchids to give them some air flow and have them in home-made humidifying trays (they are NOT sitting in water). The paph gets good light and not much (if any...I live in Oregon) direct sun. I use the same fertilizer as the grower and have stuck to her watering/fertilizing schedule in order to make the paph's transition to my home as easy as possible. I guess I just want to know if anyone has any advice for me on my droopy bud. It is almost pointing straight down. Is it a lost cause at this point? Can a bud on its way down the "bud blast spiral of death" be recovered? I know many things can cause bud blast, but I feel like my environment is pretty stable (all my other orchids are doing great). Could I be wrong? Help me please!

PS: Aside from Mr. Droopy Bud, the plant seems fine. The leaves and roots look perky and happy. New buds are developing on the same flower spike as the droopy guy and a new spike is popping up (and looking healthy).

slug, as you said, lots of things can "cause" bud blast, and sometimes it even happens when the plant isn't subjected to the "obvious" bud blast conditions. In my experience, once a bud starts to go, there's no way to recover it, so that one may just be lost. It would be easy to say that the change in conditions between your place and the grower's "caused" the blast, but that doesn't help anything, and it may not even be true.

If the new buds and the plant look fine though, I wouldn't worry...
