I have to say, I don't know the Stanhopea group, but there are many orchids that sulk. Vandas, cut their roots and forget about them growing for a year or so. Or put a chemical on them they don't like and sometimes it's months before they unshock. I have two sections of an oncidium I repotted months ago. One section has a new spike, new pbulb and is also growing new roots. The other is still shocky and doing absolutely nothing. lol Orchids are moody...I find a glob of honey or a drop of superthrive in your fertilizer water will usually help unshock plants. Good Luck...
