    Default Bulbo guttulatum

I expect I have spelled the specific name wrong, I usually do. My little sweetie Bulbo, I call it. probably its a Cirrhopetalum anyway , but what the heck. An old favourite of mine for sentimental reasons - i think it ( not this actual plant, mind) was the first "botanical" orchid - as they used to be called, if they were neither Cym, paph ( they were all called Cyps then btw) catt or odont. Vandas , we had heard of V.coerulea , but the big strap leaved giant dinner plate flowers of today had not even been bred at that time.
An old man reminisces. Forgive me. Anyway,. its time I went and did some chores.

The flowers are lovely, and feel free to tell us your stories. I enjoy hearing them personally. It's nice to have someone around that can tell us about all this orchid history.
