I'd do what BD advises, don't divide, but repot and stake the bulbs to get them in line. I don't know this particular cross, but some Cattleyas just are kind of tumbly and rangy, even with good culture, and you kind of have to love them for (or in spite of) it. The comment about light might be on point, though -- also water. P-bulbs often twist like that as a plant uses them up, and it uses up older bulbs when it's not getting enough water. That's why I wouldn't quite want to divide this plant, in fact; I'd be leery of shocking its system if it's not been getting the light/water it needs for a while.
