It is my great pleasure to congratulate Halloamey (Amey Bhide) as OrchidTalk's Member of the Month for August 2011.
The members here can always count on Amey to help with orchid identification and especially with the science behind how orchids 'work'. Just take a look at a couple of the articles he contributed to our orchid community here this year: Basic Orchid Genetics and Orchid ABCs: the Science behind flower development and pelorics.
As one member who nominated Amey put it "Bruce, the person that comes to mind for me is someone that is very knowledgable, always willing to chime in with helpful information and is very engaging at the same time. That person is Halloamey. Amey is a wealth of technical information. When a post is made that is lacking complete information you can count on Amey to fill in the blanks and to give us more to think about....!"
Thank you, Amey, for helping us achieve our mission here in this community: 'Bringing people together to grow orchids better'. Congratulations!

Congratulations, Aa-May-Ya / Amey!! I really enjoyed your interview and seeing a picture of your lovely mother with whom you share your orchids. Thank you for all you contribute to the forum during your busy doctoral preparation time. Your knowledge and education which you share so well makes this forum a better place. Thank you for everything, and congratulations!
Thank you for all you do for this community, Amey. I won't pretend to understand everything you write,
but I do know my orchids have benefitted from your input!
