catasetum pileatum x susan fuchs

i do not know if there is a difference between ctsm susan fuchs x pileatum VS ctsm pileatum x susan fuchs in terms of registrar name for the orchid but all i know is that this particular hybrid take the green form rather than the usual red form according to the grower.
one of the registered named for a ctsm susan fuchs (seed parent) x pileatum (pollen parent) is ctsm penang red.
bought about a year ago in bloom but 2 out of the three bulbs just melted in a week time due to bulb rot (unknown what causes it). manage to salvage a bulb and here it is giving another bloom and somehow this is one of my favorite hybrid so far.

ok, first of all thank you very much for those lovely comments everyone and secondly just got an update from a senior member, i was told that as long as its a susan fuchs and pileatum is used in the cross (irrespective of which one is the pollen or seed) it would still be ctsm penang BUT the confusing part is if you were to run the search where you key in pileatum as seed parent and susan fuchs as pollen parent, you will end up with no match in the RHS.

Yes, the part about naming is true. Reciprocal crosses (A male x B female or A female x B male) still hold the same name. Problem lies with RHS website. It only recognizes one-way crosses, so you have to retype with the parents reversed..

All the color in Ctsm. Susan Fuchs comes from pileatum var. imperiale. and expansum. Use green clones of both and you have a green Penang. There are seedlings of green Orchidglades available now that are quite nice.
