    Default Hedychium Ginger 'Disney'

    I understand that you will find these blooming in Disney World, Orlando Florida. These are usually a fall bloomer, but the first of the buds on this opened in July this season. It has a musky, spicy fragrance that even my nose finds a little overwhelming up close. The stalks are up to eight feet high. AL

    Thanks Cathy. These are some of the earliest tropical type plants I mailed ordered. Their care seems easy compared with some of the orchids. AL

    Eight feet high!! WOW. That fragrance must be overwhelming with all the blooms! Cool plant.

    You would think these Hedychiums would be easy to find in Florida ....au contraire! You have to wait for one of the sales at a botanic garden.
