I do maintain, though, anywhere palm trees can be grown is tropical. (And yes, I do realize there are many parts of your beautiful state where one will never see palms growing.)

I guess experience is the rule - - since I've spent time in Belize, Honduras, Guatamala, El Salvador, Panama, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and many places in the Carribean, I don't consider So. Cal. Tropical. But I definitely consider it saner to live here than in your winter wonder? land![]()
