It also helps that this ascocenda's flowers are more closely clustered, and not spaced far apart. It gives the appearance of a more rounded, tighter arrangement, just like a compact floral bouquet.

But I am not good with ascocendas Willeke. I only have a few of them and they don't last long with me. I don't know why. I find this group so cute and the colors quite attractive but I stay away from them because most of the time, I am not successful.

Why is that than? I know Asco's are more light sensitive, But that can be taken care of. Do you find them more difficult than?

I don't really know. I've had 3 others that all died. No new roots, eventually they just dried up. I position them with some semi-strap vandas which receive less direct sun than the teretes, but they still did not progress.

You're right Willeke. I've never seen an Asco which didn't attract me. They're all in happy colors because of the ascocentrum parent.

I know. That's why I'm most attracted to Asco's and Vasco's I guess. I like those colors the best.

By the way, ascos are a bit more expensive than many of the terete vandas over here, Willeke. That's why it's costlier on my part. I keep losing the more expensive ones. LOL

Than I understand. If Asco's are more expensive It's surely not nice to loose them. It's never nice to loose one, but certainly not when they are more expensive.
