Blc. Andean Treasure, concolor yellow

So, after taking a couple of years hiatus from orchid growing (lots of crap to deal with), I'm back in business...sort of. I just picked up my first one since I threw all of mine of out two years ago (I realize I'm going to hell). Anyway, it's called Blc. Andean Treasure, concolor yellow. Unfortunately, I've almost totally forgotten how to take of of cattleyas. Any tips? Also, what on earth does this guy look like, if anyone knows. Google is of no help, as the only two pictures I could find are a pink/peachy sunset color...and that just doesn't seem correct with the name in consideration, and the bag I got it from is "yellow shades".

Hi Kelly! Welcome back to Orchids and OrchidTalk! I looked up your plant and it has had a name change. It is now Rlc. Andean Treasure. The parents are Rlc. Erin Kobayashi x Rlc. Goldenzelle. All the images I found of this particular cattleya are peachy to red-orangeish in coloring. Here is some information on how to grow it from orchid wiz:

Rlc. Andean Treasure is composed of species of which 74% take high light. Grow this hybrid in bright indirect light conditions.
Rlc. Andean Treasure is composed of species of which 74% take warm temperatures, 67% take cool temperatures and 23% take hot temperatures. Grow this hybrid in cool to warm conditions, or 58°F to 75°F at night.
50%-60% humidity. Mature plants MUST dry out between waterings. Grow in a pot with a porous, free-draining media. Fertilize weekly, weakly (one quarter to half the normal dose). Common media: fir bark, tree-fern fiber, expanded clay, lava rock, charcoal or a combination.

I think the difficulty finding good information is your punishment. Hopefully, things will look up from here. Good luck with the orchid - we all look forward to seeing what it finally looks like!

It could very well turn out to be concolor yellow if Rlc Erin Kobayashi 'Laihana Gold' was used as one of the parents. If the tag says 'concolor yellow' we have to accept that at face value until it blooms. Peach coloured isn't half so bad either.
