What is wrong with your plant?? With blooms like that i'd be begging the poor thing to live! If it is a rot...try spraying it with hydrogen peroxide. If it is just not growing well, try soaking the roots in a warm water fertilizer bath with a glob of honey mixed in. I hope it will stay healthy for you. What amazing flowers!

Why. What is wrong than? I don't want you to loose this one as well. It's so pretty.

All of a sudden the roots begin to dry up. Doesn't happen to any of my other vandaceous orchids.

Thanks Yew. It's just that I'm not good with ascocendas. Most of mine have died after three or four flowerings. The roots suddenly dry up. I'm confused because it doesn't happen to any of my other vandaceous orchids.

Cathy, I think you hit the jackpot! I checked out some photos of the Ascda. John DeBiase 'Angela', and it looks exactly like my orchid. Well, now this ascocenda has a name. I would never have discovered it on my own. Thanks so much!!!!
