    Default Mokara Charkuan Pink

    The Mokara hybrid was created in Singapore in 1969. This trigeneric hybrid between Arachnis, Ascocentrum, and Vanda combines the most outstanding characteristics of each parent: fine flower shape and color from Vanda, and rapid growth from Arachnis/ Ascocenda.

    This is my first Vanda type plant, so I hope I can give it enough light and humidity to rebloom it.

    Matt,

    Love that purple! I wish you every success in your first Vanda-type orchid. I'm sure you'll succeed--from what you've said, it sounds like a good one for someone new to Vandas to try.

    Yeah, that is exactly what appears to be happening. I was just thinking that today when I was looking at it outside on the patio. I'll be interested to see if the newest flowers darken this much.
