Update On Phal and Den

Phal: After cutting off that leaf it seems okay. I'm repotting it again because after I got halfway through the bag, I understand about the schultz. The first half was good, but the lower half is like dirt. Yuck. I keep an eye on it just in case something else bad happens.

Den: After bagging, it's doing fine. It hasn't lost any more leaves (two left) and the cane looks good. Should I open the bag to mist it or rewater it or anything?

You can open the bag once every few days to let in fresh air. If the sphag (we are talking about sphag and bag here, right?) is still moist, then there is no need to 're water' it. You don't want those leaves to be wet while the plant is inside the bag so don't mist. The moist sphag should provide enough humidity.

It's potted normally, not in sphag, and just in the bag like so, so it's in a orchid mix that has been pre-soaked.

Just be sure not to let the mix dry out. You can wet the sides of the bag with a little bit of mist, but be careful not to let the leaves get wet, and open the bag often to aerate. Stale air=mold and stuff.
