    Default bulbophyllum putidum

    this one is a hardworking bloomer but the first three spike dried before they fully developed. dunno what went wrong initially until i decided to move it to are much shadier area, after that VOILA!!! first spike for me and a second one coming up.
    the bloom is consist of four flowers arrange in a square pattern, flower three inches in length and scentless (at least to me )

    Really pretty. I for some reason thought bulbophyllum putidum to be more red than yellow.

    Nice but I don't think that is putidum. Putidum is now synonymous with fascinator. Older usage of the name places it as synonymous with appendiculatum also.

    sorry again for all the confusion, dunno what went into me.....did not see the typing error until you guys pointed the discrepancy out. thanks

    by the way Brucem, there is a purplish red plumatum as well

    Yes, I just had never heard of or seen a yellow putidum. I thought that the shape of the bloom (top) was odd as well for putidum.
