Mokara Chitti ???

I'm hoping some of my friends might be able to tell anything about two of my Mokaras. I have both Chitti 'Yellow Sport' and Chitti Gold. I'm thinking these are Mr Chitti Ratanapeanchai's breedings? Both of these plants were acquired around 2002.

I can't find a bloom photo but they are a-typical Mok bloom. One is a clear yellow and the other is a golden color with some spotting. Both in early spike so I will be able to post a few photos in the near future.

Hmmm... Chitti does not appear to be the name of any registered hybrid, nor the start of a name of any Mokara, nor is the name of any AOS awarded cultivar through 2010. But I do find quite a few Mokara Chitti something pictures on the web. Since Chitti Ratanapeanchai is a Mokara breeder it seems likely these are connected with him, but someone is releasing many unregistered or mislabeled Mokara hybrids or cultivars of undocumented parentage.

Based on a couple hints I found on the web, I think these should be cultivar names ('Chitti Yellow Sport', 'Chitti Gold') of one of the Mokara hybrids regeistered by Chitti Ratanapeanchai, but there is no way to know which hybrid unless he or the distributing nursery can tell you.

I couldn't find Mokara Chitti registered by the RHS but Mkra Chitti 'Gold' or Chitty 'Gold' or even Jitti 'Gold' is grown is grown for the cut flower trade in Thailand. There is another variety which is called Chitti 'Spots'. I googled them and and found that Chitti or Jitti 'Gold' look similar - clear yellow. In a couple of days we'll be having our local orchid show and I may be able to get more info from the vendors.

Thanks Lew Sung! And I do have one that is labeled Jitti Yellow. I thought it was mislabeled. I appreciate any information.
