They certainly healthy and happy plants. But they are bit crowded/too close to each other IMO. Ditto what Gilda said, keep an eye on them for crawlies and after a heavy rain. I hope you don't have rains like we have here, or that kind of setup is a good invitation to rot.

Well, we don't get rain here until end of winter. That means that we won't have any rain until December, maybe not till January. (Where I live we usually only get around 9" a year) So I am not too worried about too moist. But I can't spread them out more, because that is all the table there is! I could buy some shelves (Or have Wolf and Joe come out) but then I would not have room for all of them inside during the winter! It's a quandry - I've been thinking about adding some grow shelves and lights in my home office.. maybe.... Say, Wolf - do you and Joe do indoor shelves??? Then maybe I could do both indoor and outdoor....

I used to put my Cat outside for a bit in the evening, but we have these vile earwigs that crawled into it's pot. I stabbed the nasty thing and haven't done it since.

Well, I was watering this morning, and boy it is sure a lot easier when the plants are outside - no carrying them 3 at a time to the sink! (and with about 65 plants now that is a lot of carrying!). However, I noticed that they are getting sun from about 7 am to I'd guess 10 am. That's wayyyy too much. So I created a little shade for the early morning angle sun using row cloth stapled to the bottom of the balcony over this area. I'm holding it down by slipping some of those metal stakes that some growers use into the fold at the bottom (I doubled the cloth). We'll see - - now I have to get some of those misquito killing pellets for the humidity trays - don't want any West Nile going on!

Since you're space limited, you might also try plugging a fan in out there for some air movement on them--close as they are together.

Hmmmmm you say 7A to 10A as being to much sun? I duno how bright the sunis there, but I have most of my cats and Oncidiums. Along with Dens are getting just about ful sun all day long down here in GA. I have a bench type structure built and it has a shade top made from latus. I have a picture of it on my camera just need to post it. I only have a couple of plants that burned a little but they have recovered now. Heck I have a couple of Dens that are in full sun from morning till about 2 in the afternoon and not a burn on them and doing just great. Will take pics of it too. Its not blooming yet this year but anytime now.

when I say sun, I mean completely unobstructed, 80 degrees at 7 am and 20% humidity (the humidity is probably the key issue) I've had some in 2 hours of sun and they burned badly, so - better safe than sorry. I don't grow dends, I know they can take a lot more light.
