Well, back from the chain store. I picked the big guy that once had two flower spikes. No idea what color the blooms will be, so it will be a surprise. ^^ Pulled him all the way out of his pots and there was fuzzy white mold/fungus all over inside, but the roots looked healthy, nice and green and firm. Most look to be alive and well. Leaves are really beat up, and some of the roots are dead, but it looks better than my other Phal. It should pull through, isn't too bad. Very big though, I'm excitted.
Brought it home to find out... I don't have enough bark. >_< The shop I got the bark from is closed. ARGH! So I'll be stopping by another store and picking up some %&@#^*! Schultz. I think I'll just mix the top half (which is decent bark and junk) with my better stuff, so it should be okay, then the lower half of the Schultz, I'll just mix in with my aloe vera's soil. I'm sure they'll love the extra drainage.
I'll still need to go buy another bag for my other Phal. It's in the crappier half of Schultz right now. >_>
On a note unrelated to orchids, I just potted 20 Aloe Vera pups! They're everywhere!
