New Paph

Ok, so now im getting into the paphs-but none of those yucky dinner plate hybrids! YUCK!
Mostly species and 'cleaner' hybrids.

I went to the first day of the Waikato Home and Garden show today with my grandmother (i got in free hehe) and saw one of NZ's BIGGEST orchid nurseries had a small stall there. I was all like YIPPEE! and she was like 'facepalm' . Understandable. I only had 7NZD on me though and the majority of these paphs were around 25. I decided to try and overdraft my Visa, because i have done it before, but it didnt work this time . So i was crushed and had one more look around. BUT good ol' Ross the Boss (seriously, thats the guys nickname) said 'You can have it for seven' with a huge grin! Mine was wider though! He said 'We need to keep the younger generations interested, otherwise the art will die out.' and thats why he gave it to me for 7NZD. I told him next time i make an order, he can overcharge me for the paph
For the record-we went back to his stall 3 times before i tried to overdraft my Visa...

Btw, anyone know any possible IDs? I know its probably a long shot, but maybe someone has a similar one?

Thanks guys, i did think it was probably highly unlikely, but then again, someone may have one just like this and let me know the name

Yea, lol, i realise this. Not long to go until i hit my 20's so it may start to slow down But i never expect the treatment, thats just greedy!

Thanks! I think most paphs are ugly, but i like allot of the smoother speices, like P. insigne, P. sukhukalli, and P. niveum. They arent ugly like allot of those hybrids are

Jordan I think your new Paphiopedilium is exactly as you say it should be "clean". The yellow and white colors and the broad petals and lip make for a truly wonderful display. I enjoyed the story of how you got this orchid and also got a chuckle or two out of your post. AL
