    Default Opening Soon

    Here are a couple of my old reliables. First is Hsinying Gavaert x fairrieanum album 'Jac'; second bloom for me - it is more purple than the picture makes it look. Next is my Belle - - Paph Bel Royal. 5 buds this year, only 3 last year! I'll post updates when they fully open.

    Your first Paphs is wunderfull in color and the Bel Royal with the five buds .. i`m very interested of the blooms.

    Very nice blooming Diane,
    and thank you for what I hope is a preview of
    my Hsinying Gavaert x fairrieanum album.
    Nowhere on the net could I find a photo,
    I just hope I'm lucky enough to have one as pretty as yours.
    I also have a baby Bel Royal,
    single growth with several leaves,
    each maybe 8 in. most.
    So keep posting the Bel Royal inspiration!
    p.s. what's the length on your leaves?
    (please don't say 24", or mine'll never be blooming size)

    Default Updates -

    The Hsinying Gavaert x fairrieanum album is now open. I am such a poor photographer - but I tried to get good color and the wonderfull hairs . The pouch has definitely gotten much redder, so it is a mahogany color. Next a couple shots of my Bel Royal...almost open. And Ennui the leaf span isn't 24........... it's 29, not flatened out . IF I remember correctly the first span was about 18 to 20 inches when it bloomed. But it does grow quite quickly. (Think positive thoughts!!)

    beautiful. I knew they would be, being Paphs :x

    So is the Hsinying.. x fairrieanum considered a "flame" or a "coloratum"?

    Also, love the way the Bel Royal is opening up... looks like one to add to the wish list...
