Hello everybody,
I purchased an interesting C.lueddemanniana labelled as "C.lueddemanniana 'Jamie Stripes' x self" about half year ago. There are clones 'Jungle's Stripes' and 'Yamile' I heard of, but I did not find anything about 'Jamie Stripes'. Maybe it was misspelled. Anyway, here is how my plant looked when I got it.
what I love in this plant is its dark color with no yellow on its lip.
I probably should have waited until it is in bloom, but I could not(actually, the Cattleya was going to bloom on three growths, but buds on the two others dried out. A. Chadwick says in his "The classic Cattleyas" that in the United States C. lueddemanniana occasionally flower in September or October under low-light conditions, but it is definitely not my case.
The buds today
I will truly appreciate any comments.
