    Zain -

Gorgeous photos of very pretty blooms! I thought I saw that some have pure white petals and some have seemingly random pink-red lines - am I seeing this right? If so, what do you suppose is going on? I would think a species phal would be more uniform than that, but it's not really my area, so maybe it's a common thing.

    Still - very beautifully photographed!

Hi Maura you are right this species is very funny character some of them I would call semi alba ( no lines on the petals) some of them having so many stripes on the petals this is one of the bizarre / weird in this genera, some of them got green color on the petals( I lost the photo), the red color /brown now they called it as speciosa, very interesting isn't it.

It sure IS an interesting species. Especially looking at the last set of photos with all but one looking brownish/pink - I would get so excited with anticipation with what great surprises I would get every time it spiked! Wouldn't one with all brown/pink petals be beautiful? But I can see you love them all, and I think they're all beautiful as they are.
