    Thanks, Al. There were eight (8!) spikes when I purchased it. Unfortunately some were developing at a weird angle and water must have got stuck in the bracts when developing, so they blasted. Another 2 spikes are on the way.

    If you in Australia is no problem for the sure it will bloom for you cause of temperature different is very marked during day time and night. I had very huge clump none of them in respond to long drier season willing to put bud at all, even I got B. magnicalcarata also share similar habit refused at all, not suitable for lowland love cool ....
