Pretty much every hobbyist will focus on certain groups of plants(personal preference) and look for the unusual after years of growing. I have changed my taste of orchids few times over the years but I still grow some Cattleyas, Laelias, Vandas, Paphs and even some Phals.
What attacts me to these plants? Well, I always like miniature/small species, and I really started to collect them when I was about to run out of room(growing space). Have I seen some of those in the wild? yes, I have seen some of those(especially the Pleurothallids) few times in south and central America but I haven't seen any in Asia or Africa.
Some of my plants are from private collectors(other hobbyists/orchid friends/forum friends), some of them are from commercial growers here(mail order or buy at shows) and some of them are from foreign growers(importing).

Bruce, I still will not do interview
