Phal is stuck

I have this lovely little mini phal, deep purple, maroon with a white edge on the outer petals. But it's stuck blooming, two buds opened about a month ago, one has since withered and dropped off, the other is fading. As you can see two more buds appear to be in the process of opening but that's how they've looked for the past month. Except for one bloom dying and the other fading away this is how the plant has looked for the past month. Why would the buds stop opening?

Also, just looked at the pictures again, how are the roots?? It's a beauty btw.

I checked the roots thinking that it was a problem but they appear healthy, no rot, slime or bugs. I keep it by the sink and the humidity is fine, I have two other phals in full bloom there and another sending up a spike so I'm stumped.

First thing that comes to my mind is humidity, second is temperature. Is it cold?

Jose - well it's indoors now, the heat has only come on one time which means that the inside temps dropped below 65 in the wee hours of the morning once. These two are happy as clams in the same place - martha

Martha, that first one you just posted looks like it has a terminal spike. Am I seeing things?

I don't know what causes that but the same thing happened to one of my vandas last month. I had a spike with maybe ten buds. Three opened completely and two or three opened partially and then it just stopped. It stayed like that until the flowers wilted. I've never had it happen before. I don't have a clue what caused it.
