    Thanks Rosie for your help....so might do best in a smaller one then,what about the depth of the pot ?

    Matt, I'm not an expert, but from experience and what others have told me, they like being cramped. They have fine roots, depth of pot is not significant, but to balance the pot and stop tipping, I would have some stones, broken crockery in bottom to counterbalance the orchid. You could if you didn't like the stones, etc. in base of pot, place this pot into a free standing terracotta pot with some holes in it.(Make sure water can run out of this pot, freely). Anybody else have any further ideas?

    Hi Rosie...thank you again for your help...i guess i should waite then as i repotted it only few months back...dont want it to sulk and wont flower later...
