Than you y'all, for being such staunch supporters! This has been quite a blow, but I trust I will come out the stronger for having gone through it. So many lessons in life come through difficult times, but what we make of them determines the kind of world we live in. I am working hard on compassion and forgiveness - hard, but it actually makes my life that much better. And you know what they say - "Living well is the best revenge."

Bravo Maura! The 'living well is definetly the best revenge'. Too true. Some people feed off of other peoples misfortune, something we can only try to understand by justifying what actually gives some people the motivation to do such anti social deviant things. They have their reasons and its easier for us genuinely decent folks to deal with, although there is a very fine line. We just cannot expect all adults to understand the concept of yes and no and right or wrong. We are wrong to just expect it to be that easy. In any case if we show our true feelings or demonstrate/ react negatively we have lost the battle and the distributor of foul play gains satisfaction from their twisted efforts. Infact we do not need to do anything but smile!!!!!!!!!!even if its sometimes pretend!...

Lies are told, not for just devious, malicious reasons, but to sometimes simply protect what matters to us personally.

I am still just stunned at that degree of vindictiveness ...that was above and beyond the act of a person who is simply jealous. If not criminal, it is at the very least sociopathically malevolent! Very happy to know you are doing well Maura! I suppose I should retract my statement about wanting to kick here in the...seems childish now. Gut reaction.
