Beautiful cymbidium! I really love the pink/red ones. I hate that I had to part with mine.

Maura,
How are you feeding this guy? Leaves look wonderful and it has certainly paid you back in blossoms this year.
Don
Don - Don't I WISH I could take credit for this beautiful cym, but I just rescued it from one our local all-purpose nurseries. They're actually selling these in the supermarkets around here right now! Now, if I can coax the new spike into bloom, THEN I'll have something to be modestly proud of. These things really take a beating being transferred from who knows where, into dry fluorescent lighting, drowning in water, and then to someone's house. The fact that they live at all is a tribute to their original growers (no idea who that is - none of these is tagged). What do I INTEND to do? I INTEND to seek advice from the cym. experts around here as to how to transition it (them, really, I now have 3 plus my old one) - I know cym.s are heavy feeders and I can see the time-release fertilizer in the media, so I'll have to find out what to do now.
Who needs a T.V. when you have Orchids!
